Chop for Charity a Rousing Success

Glasses clinked! Knives were sharpened! The Leake & Watts Chop for Charity on May 18th was a great success!

Bravo’s “Top Chef” celebrity chefs Dave Martin and Andrea Beaman joined friends of Leake & Watts and their guests for an exciting evening of delicious food and entertainment. The cook-off, hosted by Bill Evans (Senior Meteorologist/Author at WABC-TV), enthralled and entertained the guests as the chefs bantered and demonstrated their skill.

One of the most memorable highlights of the demonstration was the participation of six students from the Leake & Watts Culinary Arts Training program at Biondi High School as sous chefs and judges. Their enthusiasm was contagious and the guests were entertained by their commentary and participation on stage.

Throughout the evening, guests had the opportunity to enjoy h’or d’oerves, wine, and signature cocktails designed by Chef Dave Martin for the occasion. The night ended with an exciting raffle and live auction. For more photos of the event, visit our Facebook album.

Chop for Charity was a great event and helped provide the children, adults, and families we serve with the services and opportunities they need. Many thanks to our sponsors.
