Description of Duties:
We are currently seeking a full time or part time intern for the fall semester (September-December with possibility of extension) to work in the Human Resources Department for credit or experience. With this internship, the candidate will gain insight into the policies and processes that keep an organization running and get direct experience in the human resource field. Your duties will include but, not be limited to:
- Assisting with the updating and maintenance of recruitment files to ensure they are organized and in compliance.
- Assisting with HR database maintenance which includes data entry and monitoring of data elements required for HR.
- Assisting with various recruiting functions which includes job postings on internal applicant tracking system and various external job boards, resume sourcing and scheduling of interviews with candidates.
- Administrative support and daily office operations which includes faxing, copying, filing, etc.,
- Various other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment as a FT/PT undergraduate in a local college/university preferred but, not required. Recent graduates welcome.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion a must.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications. Word and Excel required.
- Ability to work independently, as well as, take direction when needed.
- Strong ability to multi-task, with exceptional accuracy and effectiveness.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations
