In our early years, we learn and grow at a rapid rate as we begin to walk, talk, navigate the world around us and interact with others. In an enriched and creative environment, children can gain the strongest foundation for their future growth and development. Dedicated to helping children grow to reach their full potential, we operate an array of early childhood programs serving children ages 18 months to 5 years. Our early childhood programs include:
Our early childhood curriculum inspires a love of learning and active exploration in the classroom at an early age. Along with self-directed learning through play, we provide a structured and positive learning environment where all children are encouraged and empowered to question, explore and experiment. We incorporate every child’s learning style, interests and preferences, personality and temperament, skills and talents, and challenges and difficulties into the classroom each day.
Recognizing that the success of a child is tied to the success of the whole family, we incorporate parent participation at all our early childhood programs. Significant males in the life of each child are encouraged to attend our fatherhood support group, families participate in field trips to museums and concerts, and parents may receive assistance with parenting skills and referrals to housing and employment services when needed.
Our five locations in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Westchester County include:
- The Marion and George Ames Early Childhood Learning Center
- The Dr. Katharine Dodge Brownell School
- The Children's Learning Center
- The Randall Avenue Head Start Program
- Seabury Day Care Center
Our early childhood programs are fully licensed and accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
